September:
Coca Cola Scholarship (Phase 1) Due September 30.
Donohue Family SkillPointe Scholarship $2,000. Due September 30. Available to individuals of all backgrounds pursuing vocational training in industries such as Construction, Communications, Energy, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Public Service, Technology, and Transportation.
NBT Scholarships Due September 30. Applicants must be pursuing degrees or certifications that will lead to manufacturing careers. (E.g. Engineering, Materials Science, Science (General), Computer Aided Drafting & Design, Electronics, Vocational Careers, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive, HVAC, Plumbing, Welding)
Regions Riding Forward Scholarship Contest $8,000. Due September 30.
The Home Depot Foundation Path to Pro Scholarship $2,000. Due September 30. Applicants must plan to attend a trade-related program at an accredited two-year school (technical/vocational school or college). Programs of study include: Carpentry, Construction Management, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing or another building-related field.
ATE Ballistic Helmet Scholarships $1,000. Due October 1. Two scholarships are available. One is for applicants pursuing careers in the fields of law enforcement and the other is for applicants pursuing careers in the trades, such as electrician, welder, or carpenter, etc.
October:
Evergy Community Scholarship (Not updated for 2024)
Missouri Cattlemen's Scholarship $1,000. Applicants must be a current paid member of the Missouri Junior Cattlemen's Association or their parent/guardian must be a member of the Missouri Cattlemen's Association. Due October 11.
National Rice Month Scholarship Contest Up to $5,000. Due October 15.
College JumpStart Scholarship Due October 17.
VFW Youth Scholarships Voice of Democracy scholarship entry is Due October 31.
November:
Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship $1,000 and up. Due November 12.
National Honor Society Scholarship Students must be a member of the National Honor Society and must obtain login information from Mr. DeMalade. Due November 26.
December:
Hagan Scholarship Provides up to $7,500 each semester for up to eight consecutive semesters. Due December 1.
Ray Stoesser Memorial Scholarship $5,000. Applicants should have the intention of pursuing a career in an agriculture-related field. Due December 6.
Missouri Youth Pork Ambassador Scholarship $1,000. Due December 13.
Missouri State Teachers Association. Applicants must be majoring in education. Due December 15.
January:
GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship. Up to $40,000. Due January 3.
National FFA Scholarships. Click on Scholarship Opportunities button to see the list of scholarships and the required supplements. Due January 9.
Missouri Broadcasters Association Scholarship. Due January 15.
Missouri State Fair Youth in Agriculture Scholarship. Due January 21.
Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Scholarships. $1,000 and up. Due January 31.
Epsilon Sigma Alpha Foundation (ESA) Scholarships. Various amounts. Due January 31.
National Eagle Scout Scholarship. Various Scholarships. Due January 31.
February:
Bates County 4-H, Jeffrey Laughlin Memorial, and Pat Evans Memorial Scholarships. Must be a member of the Bates County 4-H. Due February 1.
Elks Legacy Award. $4,000. Children and Grandchildren of Elks members only. Due February 3.
Henry County SWCD Scholarship provides financial assistance to students wishing to pursue a degree in an Agriculture course of study at a properly accredited College or University or Trade School. $1,000, Due February 14.
Missouri Corn Scholarships $1,000. Due February 14.
MFA Scholarship. $2,000 Due February 15.
Missouri STEM Signing Day Scholarship. $1,000. Must be planning to attend a Missouri 2-year, 4-year, or technical college and pursue a STEM career path. Due February 15.
Ellis Foundation Scholarships. $1,000 each semester. Must have a minimum ACT score of 20. Due February 19. Click on the application button at the top of the page and submit your email to request an application.
March:
Masonic Lodge of Missouri Scholarship. There are 4 scholarships available that may be renewed for up to two or four years. All are Due March 1. (Masonic Merit Scholarship - $1,000, Ruth Lutes Bachmaann Scholarship - $1,000. Students seeking a degree in education or healthcare fields, Samuel Smith Stewart Masonic Scholarship - $17,000, Community College Scholarship - $1,000)
West Central Retired School Personnel Association Scholarship. $500. Applicants must be planning to major in education. Due March 1.
FCS Financial Youth Scholarship. $2,000. You must be a child, grandchild, stepchild or step-grandchild of an FCS Financial customer to be eligible for this scholarship. Due March 1.
GVMH Healthcare Scholarship. $2,000 (renewable). Due March 1.
Mo Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (MAMIC). Due March 1.
United Producers Scholarship. $1,000. Due March 1.
Missouri 4-H Foundation Scholarships. Range from $500 - $2,500. Due March 1.
Bates County Elks Lodge #2653 Vocational Career Scholarship. $500. Due March 5.
Agriculture Scholarship of the Greater Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce. Application form here. $1,000. Due March 7.
Dr. John A. Chapin Agricultural Scholarship. Application form here. $1,000. Due March 7.
Missouri Bankers Foundation Scholarship. $1,000. Applicants must be planning to major in a field related to banking such as accounting or finance. Due March 7.
Women Legislators of Missouri Caucus Scholarship. $1,000. Due March 12.
Community Foundation of the Ozarks Scholarships. Various amounts. Most are due March 14. One scholarship specifically for this area is Terry and Deborah Mitchel Scholarship of $1,000.
Mediacom World Class Scholarship. $1,000. Due March 14.
Rural Missouri High School Senior Scholarship Fund - MO Assoc. of Rural Education (MARE). $750. Applicants need to be interested in teaching in a rural school. Due March 15.
Jerald L. Andrews Missouri Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship. $5,000. Due March 16. Must have participated in sport(s) in high school. Must also submit a one-page essay addressing "How participating in a sport(s) and/or your coach has made an impact in your life." Must create an account on the web portal. Click "Apply" on the tool bar. Type "public" in the Enter Access Code box and click "Enter Code." If necessary, search for the Jerald L. Andrews.
Missouri Women's Golf Association Scholarship. Deadline is 2nd Saturday in March each year.
Charles E. Kruse Agricultural Scholarship. $1,000. Applicant’s parents must be Farm Bureau members and applicant must be planning to major in agriculture at a 4-year Missouri college or university. Due March 15.
Opal M. Huffman Memorial Scholarship. $2,500 first semester, renewable for $1,000 spring semester. Must live in Bates County (Butler & Adrian communities preferred). Due March 15.
Heather Diehl Agency - Farmers Insurance. $500. Applicants need to be interested in being an entrepreneur or leader in their career field. Due March 18.
West-Central Missouri Association of School Administrators Scholarship. Applicants must be majoring in education. Only one applicant per district. See Mrs. Drehle if interested. The application is Here. Due March 21.
National Alliance on Mental Health - Youth Ambassador Scholarship. Due March 28. Two $1,000 scholarships available.
MSPE Western Chapter 2025 Scholarship Program. $3,000. (Must enroll in an engineering program. Certain GPA and ACT scores are required). Due March 31.
Missouri Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture Vocational Scholarship. $500. Students attending a two-year vocational or trade school may apply. Applicants' parents or guardians must be a member of Farm Bureau. Due March 31.
Michael P. Voiles Memorial Scholarship for Insurance and Agriculture. $1,500 renewable. Applicants must be majoring in an insurance or agricultural field. Due March 31.
Airmen Memorial Foundation Scholarship. $5,000. Must be child of active duty, retired or veteran military personnel. Due March 31.
April:
Bates County Farm Bureau Scholarship. $500. Must be a Bates county resident and parent/guardian a member of the Bates Co Farm Bureau. Due April 1.
Henry County 4-H Scholarship. $400. Must be a member of the Henry County 4-H club. Due April 1.
AC/Montrose Masonic Lodge Scholarship. One $1000 scholarship available. This is for Montrose and Appleton City students only. Scholarship will be paid when students enroll in their second semester of college. Due April 1.
Mo-Kan Livestock Scholarship. Due April 1.
Folds of Honor Scholarships. $5,000. Two scholarships available. (Family member of US Military and/or family member of First Responder). Due April 1.
Show-Me to College Scholarship. Up to $2,000 renewable. Due April 1 or when funds are depleted.
Voiture 333, 40&8 Nursing Scholarship. Varies amounts and years awarded. Due the first Saturday in April.
Henry County Cattlemen Association Scholarships. $500 (3 scholarships awarded). Due April 10.
Appleton City Car Show Scholarship. $1,500. One scholarship available to a Montrose senior and one to an Appleton City senior. Due April 14. Applications need to be submitted to the school counselor.
Montrose Student Council Scholarship. Applications are due to Mrs. Kimsey by April 15.
H&E West Mo Vet Clinic Scholarship. $1,000. Due April 15. Students must be planning to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
RootEd Scholarship. $12,000 (renewable). Due April 15.
Henry County Farm Bureau Scholarship. $500. Applicants must be a Farm Bureau member, reside in Henry county, and planning to go into the agriculture field. Due April 15.
John Byron Corbin Charitable Trust Scholarship. Montrose students are eligible for this scholarship due to the fact that we do have students living in Bates County and also by being in the Golden Valley Vernon Conference. Due Apr 15.
OPAA Kenneth L. Short Memorial Scholarship. Up to $2,500 (renewable). Applicants must be a relative of someone employed by OPAA Food Management. Due April 15.
Graybar Construction Trades Scholarship. Up to $2,500 renewable. Attend community college, technical school, trade school, vocational school, or an apprenticeship program. GPA of at least 2.5. Due April 15.
On My Own Inc. Scholarship. $500 per semester. Applicant must be the child of a disabled parent or a disables child themselves. Applicant must be seeking a degree to help people with disabilities such as medical, special education, social services, therapy and or mental health fields. Must be in State College or a Vocational Technical Program or an institution that does not charge out of state tuition to Missouri residents. Due April 15.
The Golden Valley VFW Auxiliary Post 1894 Adversity Scholarship in Memory of William "Bubba" Rhoads. $250. Due April 16.
Patricia Kalwei Sanders Scholarship. $500. Due April 17. Applicants must submit the completed application and an essay.
Montrose VFW Scholarship. Due April 17. Students must submit an essay. Available to Montrose graduates only.
Montrose AIM Scholarship. Due April 17 to the counselor.
Mike Rowe WORKKS Foundation Scholarship. For trade school and training programs. Due April 17.
Missouri Department of American Legion Scholarships. $750-$1,000. Various scholarships. However, regarding the Shane Dean Voyles Memorial Scholarship, only one scholarship per school may be. The scholarships are all due April 20th and they are on the American Legion website as pdf files. If you would like any of the American Legion scholarships in Word format, please contact the counselor.
Louis & Elsie Freund Endowment for Your Artist Scholarship. $500. Must be pursuing a degree in Art. Due April 29.
Scott Keck Memorial Scholarship. $500. Applicant must be a Henry County resident, a member of a 4-H club or FFA, and have exhibited at the Henry County Fair between their junior and senior year of high school (2024 fair). Due April 30

Missouri Boys State Scholarship. Up to $25,000 (renewable). Must have attended Boys State in 2024. Due June 14.
Missouri Girls State Scholarship. $19,900. Must have attended Girls State in 2024. due June 14.
